 NXT-600/NXT-800

The NextGen Transponder

The NXT-800TM and NXT-600TM Mode S transponders from ACSS are full-feature systems combining flawless implementation of all currently defined Mode S functions. The NXTs are DO-260B and DO-181E compliant to meet the global Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandates for aircraft that are required to have ADS-B Out capability. The NXTs transmit ADS-B Out data from your aircraft to other nearby aircraft and Air Traffic Control (ATC).

The higher level of ADS-B Out (DO-260B) transmission includes precise flight data, including position, speed and intent of the aircraft.

The NXT transponders are optimized for flight in the next generation air traffic environment, the NXT-800 and NXT-600 help reduce flight times and fuel consumption, while increasing airspace capacity, and higher quality air traffic surveillance resulting in improved air safety. ACSS transponders have been installed on thousands of aircraft worldwide. The NXTs are form factor replacements to the highly successful XS-950 Air Transport Data Link (ATDL) transponder and the RCZ-852 for business jets, regionals and helicopters.

The NXTs are ICAO Level III transponders delivering the latest functionality for ICAO ACAS II mandate compliance, European Elementary and Enhanced Mode S Surveillance Downlink of Aircraft Parameters (DAPs), and ADS-B 1090ES extended squitter.

Upgrades to the NXT are performed through on-board software loads, providing operators with significant cost savings and scheduling flexibility. High reliability of our Mode S transponders greatly enhances the overall TCAS system by reducing Mode S transponder-induced TCAS no-fault-found failures.

ADS-B/NextGen Avionics

efb-small

As part of ACSS’ mission to provide avionics that enhance safety, situational awareness and efficiency, ACSS has led the industry in the development of avionics based on Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) technology. ADS-B is the cornerstone technology for the NextGen air traffic management system.saferoute-web

In addition to Mode S Transponders that transmit precise ADS-B Out position, speed and intent data to nearby aircraft and ATC, ACSS has a suite of SafeRoute® ADS-B In applications. They include SafeRoute-
Interval Management, In- Trail Procedures (ITP), CDTI Assisted Visual Separation (CAVS) and Surface Area Movement Management (SAMM). SafeRoute capability is an option available in the TCAS 3000SP platform.
