FARNBOROUGH, July 17, 2006 – ACSS, an L-3 Communications & Thales Company, continues to show strong sales of its core products into the emerging Chinese market with recent sales of the TCAS 2000 and the XS-950 Air Transport Data Link Transponder (ATDL) to China East Star and China Southern. ACSS also recently won business at Air One, Jet Airways and Juneyao with the T²CAS, a combined terrain and traffic collision avoidance system. T²CAS has sales of more than 1,600 units since earning certification in 2003 and is the only combined Class A TAWS and TCAS II on the market.

“Demand for our TCAS, TAWS and Transponder products continue to be strong,” said ACSS President Kris Ganase. “China is one region of the world that continues to look to ACSS to provide superior safety avionics systems.”

Earlier this year, ACSS announced the selection of T²CAS by China Sichuan. The ACSS TAWS+, a stand-alone terrain awareness warning system, is the standard TAWS solution for the new ARJ21, a 78- to 105-seat regional jet being manufactured by AVIC I Commercial Aircraft Company in the People’s Republic of China. For this program, TAWS+ will be integrated into the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.
