PHOENIX, February 26, 2006 – ACSS, an L-3 Communications & Thales Company, announced today that TCAS 3000 – the only third generation TCAS II product – earned Technical Standard Order (TSO) authorization from the Federal Aviation Association (FAA). The system will debut on the new Falcon 7X business jet from Dassault.

“Development of new and exciting safety avionics systems has been the forte of ACSS since we became a business close to six years ago,” said Kris Ganase, president of ACSS. “With the TCAS 3000, we deliver savings in weight and power, as well as improve the reliability. Our new Surveillance Processor, which hosts the TCAS 3000 software, will allow customers to upgrade to future capabilities quickly and easily.”

The unique hardware design of the ACSS Surveillance Processor, available in either a four- or six-MCU form factor, enables aircraft owners to upgrade their entire suite of safety avionic systems by adding software. Among the many functions that can be added to the new platform are modules for terrain awareness (TAWS), Mode S transponder and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) capability.
